Fans are they being Taken Advantage of?

Parking have you concidered how much the team brings in for the parking fees, each week there is a game played.  At a minimum of $25 per vehicle that a fan drive to the stadium the fees for parking adds up to $720,000.  Now this is an average cost because you will lose some with the loss of a few hundred spaces going to buses and or RV’s, but then you figure each bus/RV pays $75.  So lets say 200 space at auto costs is $5000, 200 spaces at RV/bus costs is $15,000, so really they aren’t losing, money for letting less vehicles in the are making a $10,000 dollar profit.  Then if you throw in the what many another 3,000 to 5,000, space that get sold by neighboring businesses, and or home owners, of course this money wouldn’t be going to the team this would be tax free money for a home owner or business but say $30,000 to $50,000 being paid out there. 

Average Fans Cost per Family

Now you take into account once you get inside the gate, fan family of 4, 4 hats, 4 shirts, 8 hot dogs, 8 to 10 beers depending on if both husband and wife are drinking, 4 soda’s, all this at a minimum figure because depending on the age of the kids and the drinking habits of the parents these totals could go way up.  But with this as an average lets say the average a fan family of 4 would shell out including parking will be $366.  Now you average this out at say 6o,000 fan seats in the heat of the day, or cold rainy snowy days,  and you get a weekly total of about $21,960,000.  This is an  average most stadiums are 65,000 fans seats and up.  Then top that off with Television income and we are looking at probably close to $100,000,000 per game, that the owners and Players split.  Oh lets not forget about what do you think is 5 – 10 DUI per game average for the fans at another $50,000 – $100,000.  Pretty expensive for the average fans.  Oh and if it’s like the 49er, Oakland Raiders game last week you could wind up wounded, beat up, and brusied, or maybe without your life.

Should Fans Expect More for their Money!!

All this doesn’t even bring in the Fans the other major sports each city has going as well.  Most major cities will have more than one Professional Sports Team for th Fans.

With no concern to keep the fans comfortable, Which fans could ask for a better time!!
