NBA Players thinking of Retirement, or should be thinking of it.

What do you think?

NBA Capsules: AP source says Yao to withdraw  – Houston Rockets All-Star center, Yao Ming is retiring after nine seasons in the NBA, according a person with direct knowledge of the decision.

Shaquille O’Neal — He’s on TV so much these days you’d think he’s already retired. Phoenix’s medical staff may have breathed an extra life into Shaq’s career, but I really don’t see him moving that big ole body much more the two years. NBA

Tracy McGrady — It’s not that T-Mac hasn’t been the same player since his back really became a problem in 2006; It’s that he isn’t the T-Mac of old.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas — A sure starter on the Cavaliers’ all-time team, but as we all know once you move to the bench you don’t have long left.

Grant Hill — He could’ve signed with a title contender this summer, Grant thinks he can still chase a ring later down the road.

Ray Allen — If the Celtics win a championship, Ray could conceivably retire closest to the top of his game (and healthy) as any athlete we’ve seen since Barry Sanders.

Ben Wallace — Ben really wanted to leave during the summer, he then thought about taking is self on a retirement tour.  Had to build is ego I guess.

Peja Stojakovic — Some people think before he is pass up the $15 million option for the 2010 – 2011 season.

Juwan Howard — Juwan is in Free Agentcy now, some believe he will play somewhere before officially ending the Fab Five.

Derek Fisher — Does he want to coach?  Does he want Phil Jacksons position?

Jermaine O’Neal — People say that Hill is a “young 36″ because of the years off recovering from his injuries? I think he’s an “old 30,”.  Not much left in the tank if you know what I’m talking about.

Shaun Livingston — Have the Thunder really put Livingston on a road to success, making him a the backup for

Marcus Camby — If he can get away for L.A. on both feet, he may be able to contribute to an other leader.

Jerome James — Remember that interview he had with Ray Allen when he and Jerome were both on the Sonics.  You remember the one that Ray had said Jerome made it hard on the others mostly because he really didn’t love basketball. I think he made $30 million more than he was worth anyway. Do us all a favor and just walk away when your  contract is up.

Brian Scalabrine — Please do us all a great big favor and just leave the game.

Devean George — I don’t believe there is much to say here.

Joe Smith — He certainly wasn’t the worst No. 1 overall pick of all-time.

Ricky Davis —  Would you sign this guy after his run with the Clippers, and with the record of performance he lacks?  I sure wouldn’t, well maybe if I wanted to lose my job as well.

Tim “Shep” Thomas — This is one of the players who will play if someone will pay him, even if he can’t contribute to the game.
