Kimbo may have found his spot?

Kimbo in his first boxing match debut, was the monster we all knew he was.  Kimbo proved he does have power in his punches.  Kimbo has had a varied career, from street fight to an elite fighter, to the MMA cage fights, and now on to his new career of boxing.  I think that for Kimbo this can be a very good move.

Ready to Go

One thing the MMA taught him was his legs can’t hold up under all the abuse they get in mixed martial arts fighting.  So fighting in the ring as a boxer where only his punches will do the talking I believe is a good move for him to stay around a while.

Of course time will tell if his age will allow him to stay around for much longer, but I do think that he will be able to move up in the standings and possibly be able to make a some money while getting a few better contenders to be matched up against.

As you can tell I am a Kimbo fan, he brings back memories of George Foreman.  I also was a George Foreman fan, but I think that Kimbo has a little better technique or style to his boxing.  Where George had those killer hay maker punches, Kimbo likes to get close and kill you with is upper cuts, or straight punches to the face.  Without having to worry about his knees I think he will do well.  Now I’m not saying he will be champion or anything like that, but I do think he will have some interesting fight to come.
