NFL  Collective Bargaining Agreement

What needs to stop blocking the owners of the NFL players?

I’m damn sick and tired of this blockade. If the owners and players were smart (and obviously they are not), the collective bargaining agreement has been treated in March.  To much greed, too much desire to save face, and only simple laziness is why the  Collective Bargaining Agreement has not been ratified yet.  Does anyone have an opinion or a solution to end this charade?

Collective Bargaining AgreementAccording to both the owners of the NFL and the NFLPA, the two sides have been in negotiations for a new  Collective Bargaining Agreement since 2006, when an extension with the revisions to the CBA of 1994 was accepted.   Maybe so, but like most labor disputes it’s not realized until one side or the other or both, begin to lose money.  The NFL labor dispute is now at that point.

Of the reports read, a new agreement is about to happen.  Unfortunately, a group of retired players has thrown a kink in the process by submitting a lawsuit against the owners and the NFLPA.  A hearing to demand is not expected until August 8. The group, led by Carl Eller, say they have been excluded from negotiations and mediation sessions that have been occurring.  The key players retired meat seems to be the most long-term disability cases are denied to individuals who suffered concussion and other head injuries.  Such disabilities may take a while to develop and retired guys want a better system to ensure that they will be cared for as they age.

Technically, you are retired from the NFLPA and owners are saying the beef retired NFLPA is an issue.  But demand has forced the NFLPA to end the final negotiations of the  Collective Bargaining Agreement until they get a handle on the impact it will have on issues already agreed upon.  If the NFLPA and owners have to wait until the hearing of the 8th August, and then wait for a ruling, the training camps, the Hall of Fame game, preseason and some regular season games are at risk, along with the  Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The game is scheduled for the Hall of Fame August 7.  However, NFL analysts seem confident that retired players benefits package, and every time the benefit of long-term disability, can be resolved without much delay in the  Collective Bargaining Agreement.  It would not be that much money in the grand scheme of things.  Of course, the owners and the NFLPA have to agree, and retired guys will have to drop the lawsuit imminent to happen.
